Louis Cimmino
Revere resident

Louis A. Cimmino of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on August 29.
 A US Army veteran of the Korean War, he was the beloved husband of the late Ann (Foster) Cimmino, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage; loving father of Debbie DiLorenzo and Lisa Cimmino, both of Revere, and Kenneth Cimmino of Lynn; dear brother of Anita Marrama and Theresa Cimmino, both of Woburn, Frank of Burlington, Robert of Peabody, Fred of Revere, Tony of Florida and the late Joseph Cimmino; and the cherished grandfather of Edward DiLorenzo Jr. and Nicola DiLorenzo.
His funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere, Thursday at 8 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church, Revere, at 12 noon. Family and friends may visit Thursday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Anne Keane, 63
Retired Bookkeeper

 Anne M. (Cahalane) Keane, an East Boston native and a 30-year resident of Wakefield, died unexpectedly on August 30 at Beverly Hospital. She was 63 years old.
An East Boston native, she was a graduate of St. Mary-Star of The Sea Grammar School, East Boston, a 1964 graduate of Fitton Central High School of East Boston and a 1966 graduate of Boston Clerical College. She was a bookkeeper for several area firms until her retirement in 2007.
She was the mother of James F. Keane Jr. of Wilmington, grandmother of Katelyn F. Keane of Wakefield and the late James Michael Keane; sister of William F. Cahalane and his wife, MaryLou, of Lynn, Mary Catherine and Helen-Marie Cahalane, both of East Boston, and the late Robert E. Cahalane and his late wife, Theresa. She also leaves the father of her son, James F. Keane Sr., of Wilmington and a wonderful friend, William O’Neill of Beverly. She was the daughter of the late Robert B. and Helen L. (Walsh) Cahalane and is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway, Revere. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, September 4, at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 1155 Main St., on the Wakefield-Melrose line, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Camille Marie Portrait
Orient Heights resident

Camille Marie Portrait of Orient Heights, East Boston, died on August 25, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the cherished daughter of the late George and Allesandrina (Grieco) Portrait; dear sister of Anne Marie Young and her husband, Joseph, of Chelsea; Dorothy Govostes and her husband, Gerald, of East Boston and George Portrait and his wife, Evelyn, of Lynn; fond aunt of Gerald Govostes Jr., Keith, George and Evan Portrait and great-aunt of Nicholas Govostes.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, Revere. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Nellie Bruno, 85
Florida resident

Nellie Bruno of Port Richey, Florida, died on August 26 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Florida. She was 85 years old.
She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Bruno, with whom she shared 58 years of love and devotion.  The couple was married in Italy on July 4, 1946 and lived in Chelsea, where she was a homemaker and seamstress.  They purchased a home in Revere in 1960 and after her husband’s death in August 2004, she moved in with her daughter, Nancy Hopkins, and Dusty Morse in Port Richey. 
She is also survived by a son, John Bruno of Atlanta, Ga., and her grandchildren, Renee Hopkins of St. Augustine, Fla., Jane Gilman of Derry, NH and Emily Bruno; a great-granddaughter, Anna Maria Bruno of Nashua, NH;  her sister, Olga Magnolia, and her husband, Sebastian, of Wilmington; her nieces, Adrienne Mainville of Spencer, and Lisa Maffei of Wilmington; her brother-in-law, Joseph Bruno, and his wife, Louise, of Revere and their children, Joanne Salza of East Boston and Carol Gill of Winthrop.  The family will hold a private service at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett on Saturday, September 26.

Elaine Candilieri
Revere resident

Elaine (Colontonio) Candilieri of Revere, formerly of Orient Heights, East Boston, died on August 26.
She was the beloved wife of Saverio ‘Sonny’ Candilieri, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage; loving mother of Lisa Whalen and her husband, Timothy, Saverio Candilieri, and his fiancée, Susan Needleman, and Renee Candillieri; dear sister of the late John, Richard, James and Dennis Colontonio; cherished grandmother of Christopher, Cameron, Alayna and Gianna Whalen and Devin and Domenic Candilieri.

Lt. Col. Vincent James Manganello
East Boston Activist

Lt. Col. Vincent James Manganello, USAR, who is  retired, and from East Boston, died on August 26.
He was the past grand marshal of the East Boston Columbus Day Parade, Past Veteran of the Year, founder of the East Boston Resident Action Council (E.B.R.A.C.), Past Grand Knight of Fitton Council Knights of Columbus and a member of  the Republican Ward Committee, a past member of the Gaetano Bruno Society, founder of the East Boston Summer Youth Program and a past member of the NRQ Gun Club. He was always coordinating a senior trip or activity for the East Boston community.
He was the beloved husband of the late Marie (Porter) Manganello; devoted father of Vincent Manganello of Salisbury, Kim Velez and her husband, Martin, of East Boston, Robert Manganello and his wife, Lisa, of Rowley and Brian Manganello of East Boston; dear brother of Frank Manganello of Walpole, Mary Scannelli of Revere and Helen DiTomaso of Peabody; cherished grandfather of Shaun, Courtney and Ryan Valez, Lauren, Aaron, Amanda and Jessica Manganello and Roman Cinelli. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were by the Ruggiero Mazzarella Memorial Home (Orient Heights) East Boston. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Angela Oliviero
Of South Weymouth, formerly of East Boston

Angela M. Oliviero of SouthWeymouth, formerly of East Boston, died on August 25.
She was the beloved daughter of Clelia (Spinazzola) Oliviero of South Weymouth and the late Vincenzo Oliviero; cherished sister of Mary Rosato and her husband, Salvatore, of East Boston, Dorothy Noviello and her husband, Louis, of East Boston, Raffaella Oliviero of Quincy, Anthony Oliviero and his wife, Donna, of Saugus, Linda Petrillo and her husband, Michael, of Peabody, Connie Oliviero of Braintree, Ellen Del Prato and her husband, John, of Quincy, Josephine Megwa and her husband, Charles, of Stoughton and the late Rocco Oliviero. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Angie Nawrocki of South Weymouth, many loving nieces and nephews, and two great-nephews.
Funeral arrangements were by the Rapino Memorial Home, East Boston. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Marion Kearns, 99
Of Chelsea, formerly of East Boston

Marion (McEleney-Doherty) Kearns of Chelsea, formerly of East Boston, died on August 21. She was in her 99th year.
Wife of the late Thomas J. Kearns, she was the mother of Peter of the Philippines and Raymond of Washington, DC, and grandmother of Leo and Michael, both also of Washington, DC.
Funeral arrangements were by the Magrath Funeral Home of East Boston. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mary Perrella, 76
Of Danvers, formerly of East Boston

Mary A. (Fullerton) Perrella of Danvers, formerly of Revere and East Boston, died recently. She was 76 years old.

She was the daughter of the late David and Mary A. (Rush) Fullerton, loving mother of Robert and his wife, Pauline Perrella, of Plainfield, Conn., Steven Perrella of Laconia, NH, Patricia and her husband, Greg Lehman, of Chambersburg, Pa., Cheryl and her husband, John Cronin, of Beverly and Donna and her husband, George Justice, of Peabody. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the former wife of Vincent Perrella Jr. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody. Burial was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
