Police Identify Victim Of Shore Plaza Shooting

The man who was shot and killed at Shore Plaza housing development on Border Street Friday has been identified as 29-year-old Taquise Johnson.

Just before midnight Friday officers from District A-7 responded to a 911 call for shots fired in the area of 800 Border Street (Shore Plaza). Police located an adult male victim, who has since been identified as Johnson, of Boston, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.

In 2007 the Boston Police Fugitive and Apprehension Unit, Homicide Unit, United States Marshals, and State Police apprehended a Taquise Johnson, who was 18 at the time, and another man in connection with the May 15, 2007 shooting death of Cordeiro Andrade and the injury of a female in Mattapan. Johnson and Jovan Adams were tried separately for the murder with Adams receiving a life sentence.
