Flora Busheme

Member of Beachmont VFW & Italian American Club

Flora Busheme of Revere died on October 16.

Flora was a member of the VFW Beachmont and the Italian American Club.

She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Busheme; cherished mother of Theresa “Terri” Polci and her late husband, Christopher and Dale Busheme and his late wife, Antoinette, all of Revere; dear sister of Josephine Chianca of East Boston and the late Lena Marrotta, Helen Micciche, Fanny Allison, Edith LoVerme, Mary Sorno, Carl Luise, Concetta Severino and Ralph Luiso.  She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Robin Boland, Joy Norris, Renee Kephart and Nicole Busheme and by her great grandchildren: Joylyan, Janaya, Jaison, Gabe, Colton, Jordyn and by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church on Monday, October 24 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.  Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Joseph ‘Gerry’ Albert

Longtime devoted St. Lazarus parishoner

Joseph G. “Gerry” Albert of East Boston, formerly of Edmundston, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully on October 16 surrounded by his loving family.
A U.S. Airforce veteran, he was a past member of the Knights of Columbus Cambridge Post and an employee of Youville Hospital for 30 years. He was also a long-time parishioner of St. Lazarus Parish, devoting himself to many aspects of the church.

He was the beloved husband of over 53 years to Louiselle (Theriault) Albert; devoted father of Lise Fournier of Largo, Florida and Rachel Albert of East Boston and dear brother of Claudette Caron, Noella Albert, Lucille Ouellette, Rejeanne Albert and Pauline Fournier, all of New Brunswick and was pre-deceased by three sisters and four brothers. He was the cherished grandfather of David Wayne Dickinson of Indiana and Steven Dickinson of Florida and adored great-grandfather of Jacob Wayne Dickinson of Indiana. He is also survived by many fond nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Joseph’s life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston on Thursday, October 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. and then on Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to St. Joseph – St. Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley Street, East Boston for a Funeral Mass in celebration of Joseph’s life at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with a private cremation.

Lucy Vitale

Longtime East Boston school crossing guard

Lucy P. (Iannaccone) Vitale died in East Boston on October 12.

Lucy worked for many years as a school crossing guard in East Boston.
She was the beloved wife of Robert M. Vitale; mother of Andrea Vitale and Kerry Ann Kilrow and grandmother of Joseph R., Anthony M., Alyssa A. and Gia P.
Donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Funeral Services were held in the Magrath Funeral Home.

Martha Hohl

Of East Boston, formerly of Honduras

Martha Hohl of East Boston, formerly of Honduras, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 9.

She was the beloved wife of Guillermo Hohl, devoted mother of Rosa and Nohemy Bonilla and is also survived by many relatives and friends both in the United States and Honduras.

Family and friends honored Martha’s life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home (Orient Heights) East Boston to share memories and stories of this wonderful woman’s life. Committal services private.

Alfonso Garcia

Of East Boston

Alfonso Garcia of East Boston passed away peacefully on October 8.

He was the beloved husband of Maria Jimenez; loving son of Juan Pineda and Vincenta Garcia; devoted father of Alicia Gonzalez and her husband, Gustavo, Lisa, Samuel, Selah, Zain, Olga, Santos and Jose Garcia; dear brother of Elena, Domiciana, Sebastian and Moises and cherished grandfather of Alyzzon, Gustavo and Adriana. He is also survived by many adored nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home (Orient Heights) East Boston. A graveside service and interment was at Pinegrove Cemetery, Lynn.

Deivi Villatoro

Of Somerville

Deivi A. Villatoro of Somerville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 8.

He was the beloved husband of Maria Lucia Garcia; loving son of Mariano Villatoro and Francisca Villatoro Andrade of El Salvador and is also survived by many other cherished relatives in the Boston area and El Salvador.

Family and friends gathered in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home (Orient Heights) East Boston to share stories and memories. A prayer service was held in our Serenity Chapel during the visitation. A graveside service was held at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
