Be Sure to Take Part in Eastie Week

On Thursday, the Boston Harbor Association, East Boston Main Streets and the Chamber with help from other partners will kick off Eastie Week 2016.

From July 7 to July 12 all that Eastie has to offer will be on display for all to see.

This is an important event because the six days of planned celebrations will showcase Eastie’s food, culture, music, programs and other amenities like our parks, library and squares.

For years Eastie geographic isolation has kept it hidden from tourists and visitors, many of whom think Eastie is just an airport. As many visitors to Boston opt for the more traditional tourist scenes like downtown and Faneuil Hall, Eastie is beginning to catch on and more and more people are exploring the neighborhood’s rich diversity, culture, and, of course, food.

Recently dubbed a ‘gem on the waterfront’ Eastie sweeping views of Boston skyline from award winning parks coupled with the charm of small cafes and restaurants is making the neighborhood more of a destination.

Hopefully, Eastie Week will not only bring out residents for the celebrations but people who have always thought of checking out the neighborhood but have yet to do so.

Eastie Week will be the perfect time to see what the community is all about.
