Giacomino ‘Jack’ Baglio

Lifelong East Boston resident

Giacomino L. “Jack”  Baglio died in East Boston on June 5.

Jack was born and raised in East Boston and graduated from East Boston High School. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

The beloved husband of the late Mary M. “May” (Tobin), he was the father of Jack and his wife, Denise, James and his wife, Kim Pelosi, Thomas and his wife, Catherine, the late Terri and her surviving husband, Roy Antonuccio and the late Paul and his surviving wife, Carol Baglio; brother of Louis Baglio and his wife, Alice and the late Phyllis Marotta, Rose Giordona, Rocco and Charles Baglio; grandfather of Jennifer, Robert and his wife, Jade, Lea, David and Rachel. He is also survived by two generations of nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. {at Day Sq] East Boston on Friday morning, June 10 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 10 o›clock. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Thursday, June 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory to Sacred Heart Parish, 303 Paris St., East Boston would be appreciated.

Frances Osbahr

Of East Boston

Frances M.  (Selvitella) Osbahr of East Boston died peacefully in Tewksbury  on June 4. She was in her 93th year.

The loving mother of Joyce Marie Ricci of Tewksbury and Michael Blundo of Boston, she was the dear sister of Gloria DeAngelis of Revere, Elaine Olson of California and the late Henry Selvitella, cherished grandmother of Dominic and Mark and the adored great grandmother of Jacob, Peter, Cooper and Teighan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Frances’s life by gathering  in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St.  (Orient Heights) East Boston today, Wednesday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a service in our Serenity Chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation service private. Daniele Pepe

Of East Boston, formerly of Italy

Daniele Pepe of East Boston, formerly of Italy, passed away unexpectedly on June 1.

He was the husband of the late Dora (Colarusso) Pepe; devoted father of Vencenzo Pepe and Mark Fortuna, Diane DeAngelis and her husband, Joseph, all of Topsfield; dear brother of Silvio, Pasquale, and Adelina Pepe, all of Italy and Elio Pepe of Seattle. He was also pre-deceased by many other siblings. He was the cherished grandfather of John and Zinnia DeAngelis and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home (Orient Heights) East Boston. Mr. Pepe was laid to rest with his beloved wife, Dora in the mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery. Beatrice Lupis

Talented singer, avid reader, and trivia maven

Beatrice I. (Mourao) Lupis of Winthrop, formerly of the North End of Boston and Charlestown, died peacefully on May 31 at the age of 90.

Bea had a beautiful singing voice and with her husband Sal performed the music for many years at both St. Catherine’s Church in Charlestown and St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in East Boston. She loved to travel and was an avid reader. Not letting the fact that she was legally blind stop her from reading 1500 books in four years through Perkins School for the Blind. She was a trivia maven and could answer every jeopardy question.

The beloved wife of the late Salvatore Lupis, Beatrice was the fiercely devoted mother of Elaine Riordon and her husband, John of Braintree, Stephen Lupis of East Boston, John Lupis and his wife, Donna, Maria Sweeney and her partner, Chris Luppi, all of Winthrop; cherished grandmother of Michele Lupis, John Lupis, Jesse Hancock, Christine Arsenault, Frank Priore, Michael Lupis, Laura Lupis, Erin McMillen, Joseph Riordon, Emily Goff, Jackie Riordon  and Tina and Brian Sweeney. She was the treasured great grandmother to 24 and the dear sister of Jacqueline Lister of New Hampshire and the late Mary, Rita and Candida Mourao.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston. Services concluded with Bea being laid to rest in the Mausolem at Holy Cross Cemetery with her beloved husband. May they both rest in peace.
