Police Investigating Murder on Border St.

Boston Police are still investigating a murder that occurred over the weekend near Central Square.

At 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 officers from District A-7 in East Boston responded to a radio call for a man down in the area of 282 Border St. Once police got there they observed an unidentified male suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene and has not yet been identified.

According to sources, the victim may have been one of the dozen or so homeless people that hang out behind Liberty Plaza. In the past there have been incidents of violence among this community. Two years ago a homeless woman was set on fire after an altercation with another group of homeless people.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.
