Francis ‘Frankie’ Lespasio

Laborer for Construction Company

Private funeral services and interment were held for Francis M. “Frankie” Lespasio who died on Monday, October 7 at Dana Farber Cancer Institute following a long illness and struggle with Metastatic Squamous Cell Cancer. He was 39 years old.

Born and raised in East Boston, he was a 1992 graduate of East Boston High School. For most of his working career, he worked with the construction industry as a laborer.

He was the beloved son of Francis E. Lespasio Sr. and Maureen M. (Kovacev) Lespasio, the devoted brother of Holly Lespasio and the dear uncle to Damian and Jaylin Reid, all of East Boston. He is also lovingly survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Giovanni Giangregorio

Of East Boston

Giovanni Giangregorio of East Boston died on October 8.

The beloved husband of Giuseppa (Perriello), he was the loving father of Anthony Giangregorio and his wife, Lynnette of Saugus and Angelo Giangregorio and his wife, Rita of Revere; dear brother of Raffaelle and Gerardo Giangregorio, both of Italy and is also survived by three loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Giavanna and Angela.

Carol Collins

Of East Boston

Carol A. (Taje) Collins of East Boston died on October 4.

The beloved wife of the late Lawrence Collins, she was the devoted mother of Sysan A. Souza of Dudley, Gina Taje and Michelle Collins, both of East Boston; dear sister of Arthur and Richard Taje of Florida; cherished grandmother of Kayla, Matthew and Noah and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours in the Serenity Chapel of the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., (Orient Heights) East Boston will be held on Saturday, October 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Michele ‘Mike’ Viola

Self Employed Painter

Michele “Mike” Viola of Revere, formerly of Everett, East Boston and Locri Reggio Calabria, Italy died unexpectedly on September 21.

A self employed painter, born in Italy, he was the son of the late Luciano and Teresa Viola; loving father of Luciano Viola of East Boston, Nicholas Viola and his fiancé, Courtney MacDonald, both of Winthrop, Daniel Viola of Melrose and the late Michael Viola; dear brother of Sarina Viola of Revere and Filipo and Giuseppe Viola of Italy and the cherished grandfather of Nicholas Daniel Viola and Gianna and Ava Viola.
