The preliminary plan for the Greenway Extension is a testament to those in our community who have taken a dream and turned it into a reality.
We all know that our community is congested. Many of our streets are main traffic arteries going to the airport or to the tunnels that makes navigating them all the more difficult and dangerous. For those residents living in Jeffries Point who want to go to Constitution Beach, or any of the neighborhoods in between, it more often is a hassle than a pleasure.
However, all this changes with the Greenway Extension. Our community now becomes very walkable and safe. We can now walk with our children and get to the various neighborhoods without the need of being constantly vigilant for speeding cars or huge trucks that might run us over.
Massport should be singled out and thanked for the use of the property that makes up the Greenway Extension from Bremen Street Park to Constitution Beach.
