Police Seek Armed Robber

East Boston Police are still seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect wanted in connection with last week’s armed robbery of the Mobile Gas Station on Meridian Street last week.

Police have released a photo and video surveillance of the suspect–the latter of which can be found at  HYPERLINK “http://www.bpdnews.com” www.bpdnews.com.

The robbery occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 3 at the Mobile Gas Station located at 470 Meridian St. just before the Meridian Street Bridge.

The clerk stated that the suspect entered the store, pointed a shotgun at him and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the store on foot.

The disturbing video shows the suspect brandishing the firearm. The video also shows two teenagers enter the gas station moments later and are immediately frozen with fear as they unwittingly stumble into a armed robbery in progress. The video also shows that there is one to two other patrons already in the store at the time of the robbery.

No one was hurt during the incident.

The suspect was wearing a green military-style jacket, a dark green hoddie, dark baseball cap and had a bandana covering his nose and mouth.

Detectives from Eastie’s District A-7 are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked call detectives at (617) 343-4234.
