Adeline Corrado

Former Boston Public Library Employee

Adeline R. Corrado of Revere died on December 24 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital.  She was 89 years old.

Born in East Boston, she graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1942, and was a former employee of the Boston Public Library.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Pasquale and Lucy (Fredestefano) Corrado; devoted sister of John E. and his wife, Paula and Joseph P. and his wife, Ann, all of Revere and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Phyllis Erickson

Of Orient Heights

Phyllis M. (Frederico) Erickson of Orient Heights East Boston died on December 21 at the Kaplan Family Hospice of Danvers following a long and valiant battle with ovarian cancer. She was 77 years old.

Born and raised in East Boston and a 1953 graduate of East Boston High School, she was a daughter of the late Joseph S. Frederico and Esther (Schiavo) Frederico. While her dad was a patient at the Don Orione Nursing Home, she became involved with the volunteer services at Don Orione and subsequently worked at the Gift Shop for several years.

The wife of the late William F. Erickson who died in October of 2004, she was the devoted mother of Esta A. Panora of Orient Heights, East Boston and Steven E. Panora and his wife, Carol of Malden; cherished grandmother of Stephanie Panora and Jamie Goad; dear sister of Connie Surette of Beverly and is also lovingly survived by Jennifer Hovey and her husband, Phillip of Andover, CT; her great grandson, Vincent; her longtime devoted friend, Albano Tassinari of East Boston; several caring nieces, nephews and faithful friends.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Christmas Eve Morning at St. Joseph-St. Lazarus Church, East Boston with funeral arrangements by the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Revere. William ‘Papa’ Pothier

Of Malden, formerly of East Boston

William A. “Papa” Pothier of Malden, formerly of East Boston, died on December 18.

A US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was the beloved husband for 52 years of Estelle (Doucet); dedicated Father, Role Model and Friend to Paul Pothier and his wife, Mary Ellen of Wilmington, Thomas Pothier and his wife, Robin of Tewksbury, Suzanne Olszak and her husband, John of Danvers, Peter Pothier and his wife, Debbie of Townsend, Joanne Catizone and her husband, Dante of Tewksbury, Roxanne Bournazian and her husband, Harry of Franklin and Leanne Guzman and her husband, Ignacio of Everett; son of the late Laurene and Ann Genevieve (Cotreau) Pothier; brother of Edwin Pothier of Revere, James Pothier of Taunton, Marjorie Delorey of East Boston, Ann Kramer of Taunton and the late Emilie Mascis; beloved grandfather to 27 beautiful grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

John Lovetere, Jr.

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

John J. Lovetere, Jr. of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on Decemer 21 following a long illness.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the former proprietor of Angelo’s Gulf Station of Winthrop for over 20 years and a retiree of the Chelsea Office of the Food & Drug Administration.

He was the beloved husband of 60 years of Audrey E. (Fogarty); devoted father of Joyce J. Misci and her husband, John and Elizabeth A. Pesce, all of Revere; devoted grandfather of: Melyssa J. Perkins and her husband, Jamie of West Peabody, Bryan A. Misci and his wife, Kim of Lynn, Krystin L. and Adam M. Misci and Tyla Elizabeth Pesce, all of Revere; dear brother of Joseph Lovetere and his wife, Rose of Brockton, Francis Lovetere and his wife, Joanne, Charles Lovetere and his wife, Charlene, James Lovetere and Jimmy, Thomas Lovetere and his wife, Donna, all of Florida and the late Angelo Lovetere. He is also lovingly survived by his sister-in-law, Linda Lovetere of Florida and by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Pasquale ‘Pat’ Dichio

Retired Accountant

Pasquale A. “Pat” Dichio of Quincy died on December 23. He was 90 years old.

A retired self-employed accountant in Stoughton and a former accountant of N.H.D. Stores, he was a longtime active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and a US Navy veteran of World War II.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Dinn); devoted stepfather of Robert Childs and his wife, Donna of Reading and Scott Childs and his wife, Kathy of Nashua, NH; cherished grandfather of Robert, Christopher, Kelly and Amy Childs, Jessica Teixeira, Samantha BelBruno, and 10 loving great grandchildren; brother of Nancy Molino and Salvatore Dichio, both of Florida and the late Ellen Di Ieso and Lucille MacDonnell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Americo ‘Rico” Marcucci of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died on December 23. He was in his 94th year.

He was the beloved husband of the late Angela (Durante) Marcucci with whom he shared 66 years of marriage; loving father of Robert Marcucci and his wife, Donna, of Florida, Richard Marcucci of Hudson and Gerry Miller and her husband, Nelson of Saugus; dear brother of the late Josephine Fraticelli and Armando Marcucci; cherished grandfather of eight and great grandfather of nine.

Thomas Johnston Carideo of East Boston died on December 23.

A US Army veteran of Viet Nam, he was a Boston Firefighter Lieutenant, Engine 5 East Boston.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Moretti) Carideo; dear brother of John of Billerica and Daniel of East Boston and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
