Good police work

Officer from District 7 that helped take 42 lbs. of heroin off the street last week during a major drug bust here should be applauded.

Over the past few months we have seen an up tick in certain crimes but that is not due in any way to the work of the police here.

Last week’s bust is proof that our men in blue that patrol the streets are on the look out for anything and everything that tries to strike at the quality of life for Eastie residents.

Removing 42 lbs. of heroin is a big deal–ask any DEA agent. Like one agent said after the bust the affects of this arrest will be felt in the community immediately.

A dangerous and addictive drug has been confiscated. The suspects are behind bars and Captain Kelley McCormick and his team deserves our thanks.
