Kiwanis Club to Hear Talk on Suffolk Casino

The Kiwanis Club of East Boston will host two officials from Suffolk Downs to talk about the proposed resort casino plans at the Kiwanis Club’s meeting on Tuesday, June 19 at 6 p.m. in Spinelli’s function facility in Day Square. Suffolk Downs Chief Operating Officer Chip Tuttle and Suffolk Downs Executive Vice President for Security and Compliance Paul Evans will be the guest speakers when the Kiwanis Club hosts its interclub meeting of fellow clubs from Kiwanis Division 14. COO Tuttle and Evans, the former Boston Police commissioner, will discuss the casino plan unveiled at Suffolk Downs last week and what steps must be taken before a casino can be constructed at the East Boston racetrack site.

The public is invited to attend the dinner meeting to hear about the casino plans. Tickets are $20 per person and include a 50/50 raffle.
