Edith (Luiso) LoVerme of Orient Heights East Boston died on June 20.

She was the beloved wife of John P. LoVerne Sr. with whom she shared 57 years of marriage; loving mother of Lucille Johnson and her husband, Leroy, East Boston, Charles LoVerme and his wife, Stella, of Medford and John LoVerme, Jr. and his wife, Paulne, of Saugus; dear sister of Josephine Chianca of East Boston, Florence Buchene of Revere and the late Helen Micciche, Lena Marotta, Connie Severino, Fannie Allison, Mary Sarno, Carolo and Anthony Luiso; cherished grandmother of Jessica, Jenna, Jason, Christy, Justine and Tori LoVerme and Jerricka and Andrew Hill.

Erminio Ciampa

East Boston resident

Erminio Ciampa died in East Boston on June 19.

He was the beloved husband of Rose M. (Belmonte); father of Gina and her husband, Paul LaRose, of Mansfield, John and his wife, Deborah, and Joseph, all of Revere; grandfather of Justin LaRose, Ashley and Zachary Ciampa; brother of Lena Gigiello of Florida; uncle of Carol and Donna and grand uncle of Ryan.

His Funeral will be held from the Magrath Funeral Home, 325 Chelsea St. [at Day Sq] East Boston Friday, June 24 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony Church, Revere at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Edward Devlin

Retired Fire Alarm Operator

Edward J. Devlin of Charlestown died on June 15 after a courageous battle with cancer.

A retired fire alarm operator for 17 years for the Brookline Fire department and three years for the Fire and Police Departments, he worked for the Boston College security force after retirement. He was a member of Teamsters Local 25 and the Brookline Lodge of Elks 886.

He was the beloved husband of Virginia E. “Ginny” (Wass) Devlin; loving father of Bonnie Stackpole of East Boston, Marguerite Desko of California, Paul Desko U.S.N. of Virginia; brother of Janet McDermott of Billerica, Clayre Quick of California and the late Richard F. “Dick” Devlin Jr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of Kerri Donovan.

Carmella DiSilvio

East Boston resident

Carmella “Peachie” (Moriello) DiSilvio of East Boston died on June 17. She was in her 91st year.

The beloved wife of the late Joseph DiSilvio, she was the loving mother of Constance M. DiSilvio of East Boston and is survived by her feline companion, Misty. She was the dear sister of the late Ann Iacoviello, Dora Messina, Jerry, Augustine, Frank, Dominic and Flora Moriello and is also survived by loving members of the Carbone and Catrone families and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Lena (Zeuli) Bernabei of East Boston died on June 15.

The beloved wife of the late George “Gigi” Bernabei, she was the loving mother of George Bernabei and Dennis Bernabei and his wife, Karen, all of East Boston and Brenda Gorovitz and her husband, Attorney Sidney Gorovitz, of Framingham; dear sister of the late Attorney Frank Zeuli, Michael, Armando and Mario Zeuli; cherished grandmother of George Bernabei Jr., Whitney Bernabei  Syla and her husband, Alfredo, Christopher and Cory Gorovitz and Dennis Bernabei Jr. and Vanessa Bernabei.

John Ferrara Jr.

Self Employed Painter

John L. Ferrara Jr. of Revere died on June 16 at the Light House after a brief illness.

He was a self employed painter.

Born in East Boston the son of the late John and Mildred (Lagamosino) Ferrara, he was the beloved husband of Joanne (Nolan); devoted father of John and his wife, Charlotte, of Lynnfield, Lisa Fortuna and her husband, Robert “RFD”  of Revere and Debra Grimes and her husband, Daniel, of Epping NH; loving grandfather of Jessica, Justin, Jonathan, Derek, Danielle and Meghan; dear brother of Donald Ferrara of Maine and the late Francis Ferrara and Lucille Bramante and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Of Somerville, formerly of East Boston

Tito Forcellese of Somerville, formerly of East Boston, died on June 14.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of Linda (Picardo); devoted father of Denise Russell and her husband, George, of Connecticut, Peter Forcellese and his wife, Janice, of Falmouth; loving grandfather of Peter Forcellese Jr., David and Michael Russell and the late John Forcellese; loving great grandfather of Nicholas and Jenna Forcellese; brother of the late Olga Rauseo, Flora Stoico and Norma Tucci. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

The beloved husband of Patricia A. (Letsche) Manganelli with whom he shared 38 years of marriage, he was the devoted father of Karen M. (Kelly) Courtney and her husband, Dr. James M. Courtney, of Norfolk; cherished grandfather of Colin J. Courtney of Norfolk; dear brother of the late Madeline Puccio, Dr. Charles V. Manganelli, Mary C. Reidy, Vincenzina Manganelli, and Antoinette M. “Annie” Manganelli; dear brother in law of Virginia Manganelli of Brewster. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
