Sousa wins his final home game as Jets extend winning streak to six

In his last home game during a stellar coaching career, East Boston High School football coach John Sousa not only got a big win against Boston English High School but was also presented with a plaque by the English High football coaching staff.

Sousa and the Jets cruised past English 44-16, extending a six game winning streak to seven games and improving to 7-1 on the season last Friday Night at East Boston Stadium.

The Jets got on the board early when Brandon Campell caught a 16-yard pass from Williams for a touchdown. Amodeo’s first of two touchdowns came in the first quarter with a 12-yard run through English’s defense making it 14-0.

English answered in the second quarter when Martin Kitchens ran the ball in 1-yard for a touchdown making the score 14-8. However, the Jets scored two unanswered touchdowns before the half. Brandon Campbell returned a 75-yard kickoff and Williams hit Kevin Orellana with a 40-yard pass making it 29-8 at the half.
