Teresa (Grella) Moscaritolo of East Boston died on October 31. She was in her 96th year.

She was the wife of the late John Moscaritolo; loving mother of Carol Forlano and her husband, Vito, and Katherine Rivard, both of East Boston, Grazio Moscaritolo and his wife, Barbara, of Lynn and Angelo Moscaritolo of East Walpole; cherished grandmother of Vito and Domenic Forlano and Edward Moscaritolo, all of East Boston, Tina Marie Moscaritolo of Lynn, John Moscaritolo of East Walpole and Laurie Sarro and her husband, Joseph, of Lynn and great grandmother of Tyler Sarro John Moscaritolo and Amber Scanella.

East Boston resident

Teresa (Shifino) Ruggiero of East Boston died on October 31. She was in her 92nd year.

The beloved wife of Michael E. Ruggiero with whom she shared 68 years of marriage, she was the loving mother of Jo Ann Peroni and her husband, John, of Newburyport, Michael Ruggiero and his wife, Celeste, of Lynn, Joseph Ruggiero of Revere and his late wife, Kathleen, and the late Marianne Ruggiero; dear sister of the late Carmela DiGiulio, Antoinette Gassario, Mary Silva, Irene Ortalino and George Schifino. She was the cherished grandmother of six and great grandmother of eight.

Diane Rossetti

Worked for Shawmut Bank

Diane N. (Buldini) Rossetti of East Boston died on Oct. 31.

A 40 year employee of the Shawmut Bank, she was the devoted mother of Mark Rossetti of East Boston, Brian and his wife, Lisa, of Marblehead; cherished grandmother of Christian and Christina Rossetti and former wife of the late Ralph Rossetti.

Her Funeral will be held from the Ruggiero Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) East Boston today, Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating her life in St. Joseph St. Lazarus Church, Ashley Street, East Boston at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. John Griffin

MBTA retiree

John T. Griffin of Revere died on September 14. He was in his 90th year.

A US Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was an MBTA retiree and a member of the MBTA Pensioners Club.

He was the beloved husband of Alice L. (Cripps); devoted father of John T. Griffin, Jr. of North Carolina, Michael J. and Judith I. Griffin, both of Malden; dear brother of Catherine F. Griffin, Thomas D. Griffin and his wife, Betty, all of Revere, and the late Dorothy L. Griffin, Mary M. Brennan, Joseph, James and Frances Griffin. He is also lovingly survived by four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial Funeral Mass was held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere. Private burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the N.E. Anna Andriotti

East Boston resident

Anna (Gizzi) Andriotti of East Boston died on October 27.

She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Andriotti; loving mother of Ann Marie McDonald and her husband, William, of Winthrop and the late Mary McCallum and her surviving husband, Kenneth; cherished grandmother of Laura Matarazzo of East Boston, Joyce and Joseph Burns of Easton and Matthew and Alex McCallum of East Boston; cherished great grandmother of Kyle and Lyndsey Burns; dear sister of Louis and Rose Gizzi of East Boston, Alfred and Adeline of California, Mary of Rhode Island and the late Helen and Theresa. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Joan Cesareo of Revere died on October 30. She was in her 102nd year.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Stellario and Vincenza (Triffletti) Cesareo; dear sister of Joseph Cesareo and Eleanor Puopolo, both of Revere, Anthony Cesareo of Chelsea, Richard Cesareo of East Boston and the late Lena Cassie, Katherine Stokes, Stellario and Leo Cesareo; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Angelina "Grammy" (Albanese) Valarese of Boston’s North End died on October 28.

She was the beloved wife of the late Domenic Valarese; devoted mother of Joseph Valarese of East Boston and the late Michael; loving grandmother to seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; dear sister of the late William and Jerry Albanese.

Charles Veneziano

Of Wakefield, formerly of East Boston

Charles Veneziano of Wakefield, formerly of Peabody and East Boston, died on October 28.

He was the beloved husband of Ryna (Hooker) Veneziano with whom he shared 55 years of marriage; loving father of Kim Kaner and her husband, Lawrence, of Manchester by the Sea and Tod Veneziano and his wife, Rachel, of New York; dear brother of Celia Antonuccio of Wakefield, Nancy Gambardella of Danvers, Fannie Rosetti of Cambridge and the late Guy Veneziano; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Nancy Pettenati

Of East Boston and Florida

Nancy (DiGenio) Pettenati of East Boston and Venice, Florida died on October 26.

She was the wife of the late Joseph Pettenati; step-mother, grandmother and great grandmother to the Joseph Pettenati family; sister of Anna M. DiGenio of East Boston and the late Rose Raymond, Elizabeth DiGenio, Anita Belmonte, Joseph A., Jennie E., Angelo M., George A. and Teresa A. DiGenio. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Porcella Funeral Home (Beachmont) Revere. Burial will be at a later date in Venice, Florida.

 

Margaret Oesterle

Verizon retiree

Margaret M. "Peggy" (Teevens) Oesterle of Beachmont Revere, formerly of East Boston, died unexpectedly on October 27. She was 84 years old.

She was a member of New England Telephone Pioneers of America and a Verizon retiree.

She was the beloved wife of 58 years of Francis H. Oesterle, Revere Fire Department retiree; devoted mother of Karen A. Oesterle of Revere and Thomas F. Oesterle and his wife, Linda, and cherished grandmother of Allison and Luke Oesterle, all of Newnan, GA; dear sister of Dorothy A. McDonough and her husband, William J., of Hanover, MA and the late Eugene F. Teevens Jr. She is also lovingly survived by her sister in law, Mary Teevens, of Kingston, MA and several nieces and nephews. "Peggy" also leaves her devoted companion "Cleo". She was the daughter of the late Eugene F. and Margaret (Hope) Teevens.

Funeral arrangements were by the Vertuccio Home for Funerals, Revere. Entombment was in the Versailes Building at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

 

Cosimo D’Aiello

Worked for Perini Construction

Cosimo D’Aiello of Forest Street, Winthrop, died at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on October 26 after a long illness. He was 82 years old.

A former resident of the North End, he moved to Winthrop 45 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Mr. D’Aiello worked as a laborer for Perini Construction.

Born in Italy, he was the beloved son of the late Pierena (Barbera) and Giuseppe D’Aiello; the beloved husband of Giovanna (Barbera) and the loving father of Joseph D’Aiello and his wife, Valerie, of Florida, Anthony D’Aiello of Salem, Pierena Parece and her husband, Warren, of North Reading and John D’Aiello and his wife, Lisa, of Winthrop; brother of Zina DiSalvo of Revere and Giovanna Calvi of Jamaica Plain; cherished grandfather of Julianne, Michelle, Jonathan, Andrew and Matthew.

Louisa (Moretti) Renato of East Boston died on October 25.

She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Renato.

Dana L. Popp of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on October 26.

A horse trainer at Suffolk Downs, she was a member of Canter NE and the Horsemen Benevolent Protective Assn.

She was the beloved daughter of Loretta (Barbetta) of the North End and the late Albert A. DiPalma; loving mother of Kristen Popp of Revere; sister of Dolores and Raymond DiPalma of East Boston and Albert DiPalma of Florida and the former wife of Dennis Popp.

Of Middleboro, formerly of East Boston

Anna P. Milward of Middleboro, formerly of East Boston, died on October 23.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Marcella L. (Forster) and Edward M. Milward Sr., sister of the late Paul E. Milward Sr.; cousin of the late Francis and Charles "Casey" McCarthy and aunt of Paul E. Milward Jr., Patricia A. Leonard, Jane M. Bartko and Peter J. Milward. She is also survived by many cousins.
