Jets overwhelm Blue Hills, 42-6

The East Boston High School Jets football team seems to be unstoppable this season with another big victory over Blue Hills Friday.

The Jets improved to 5-1 on the season with a 42-6 blowout over Blue Hills.

Eastie scored 14 points in each quarter except the fourth and Blue Hills was unable to score against the Jets’ defense until the last quarter.

The jets got on the board early with a pair of touchdowns by Troy Williams and Mike Lockley in the first quarter. Williams had a 25 yard run while Lockley picked up a 10 yard run for touchdowns.

The rest of the game was an offensive show by Brandon Amodeo.

Amodeo scored twice in the second quarter and once in the third for three touchdowns on the day.

His first touchdown came on a 25 yard pass from Williams, the second on a 6 yard run and the third on a 30 yard fumble return.

Eastie Stephen Lockwood rounded out the Jets’ offensive blitzkrieg with a 70 yard punt return against Blue Hills.

By the time the fourth quarter rolled around it was already 42-0. However, Blue Hills finally scored in the fourth when Myles Comeau ran the ball into the end zone from 5 yards out.

The Jets will face off against Brighton on Friday at 6 p.m.
