East Boston Men’s Hockey Report

Week two of the regular season featured two extremely tough games where both teams were evenly matched. The first game saw Demo Solutions pick up their first win on this young season showcasing a balanced offensive attack with 6 different goal scorers giving net minder Tony Deandria a 6-1 lead going into the 3rd period. Sound Decision tried to mount a late game comeback but ended up dropping the contest 6-3.

Game two picked up right where the first one left off with some excellent play between Woody’s Liquors and Hatrick Sportswear. The score was 4-2 in the middle period when Jeff Arinella of Woody’s was given a penalty shot on a questionable call in front of the net. Arinella would cash in the free chance which proved to be the game winning goal with a final score of 7-4. Woody’s moved into sole possession of 1st place in the early stages of the season.

Starting October 6th EBMHL will be expanding to 6 teams with 3 games each Tuesday night. The competition should continue to be at a high level.
